Using WordPress and the Genesis Framework to build mobile-responsive websites that look great on all devices.
We work closely with you to create the perfect website for your business. Along the way, through talking about your project, you’ll teach us about your history, your goals and your motivation. This helps us forge a stronger working relationship so we can meet and surpass your expectations.
Have you ever used a website and become frustrated because you can’t find the information you’re looking for? Same here. That’s why usability is so important to us.
Fancy menus and full-screen videos have their place, but most people using the internet (ie your customers) want instant results. They don’t want to play Hunt The Menu or wait for a video to load. They want to find out about your services, they want your phone number and they want to see if your services are affordable.
So that’s what we create: simple, user-friendly websites that look great on all devices (the number of people accessing the web on a smartphone or tablet increases daily).
When it comes to business websites, there is no “one size fits all” option. Everyone has their own set of requirements, which will include some or all of the items listed here:
- Sales pages
- Contact form
- Professional copywriting
- Newsletter subscription form
- Pricing tables
- Social sharing buttons
- Responsive design (you get this whether you ask for it or not)
- Stock or in-house photography
- Portfolio pages
- Basic SEO
- Blog (you will be blogging, won’t you?)
To work out a price for your project, we need to ask lots of questions and you need to provide thorough answers. And no, a rough sketch on the back of an envelope isn’t enough for us to create your ideal website.
The first step of the process is for you to get in touch with us. There’s a contact form here. After that, if we’re a good match, we’ll arrange a face-to-face meeting or discuss your ideas over the phone or Skype. If everything is going well at this stage, we’ll put together a proposal and start talking financials.
To give you an idea of costs, a simple five-page website costs around £499.
This gets you:
- Domain name and hosting
- A copy of the Genesis Framework which you own
- One premium child-theme by StudioPress
- Installing WordPress and creating the five pages – usually Home, About, Contact, Sales Page, Prices or Testimonials (content and images supplied by you)
- Installing and setting up Yoast’s SEO plugin
- Setting up the default contact form in the Contact Form 7 plugin
All these options are customizable. This just gives you a rough idea of the cost of a simple website.
